Be My Guest!

THE SCOOP
Every few days I pick a subscriber at random to join me in Thinkering. You don’t have to appear as a character. Should you prefer, I will use a painting or photograph you’ve created as a background or a prop. You can come up with a line or an idea. I’m easy. How cool is that—your chance at stardom: a guest appearance as a character actor, a screenwriter, even a set designer—in a cartoon! Almost like a movie only without the casting director’s couch.
When the time comes I’ll contact you via email to discuss.
And don’t worry—we have body doubles for steamy scenes and professional stunt people for dangerous sets. No audition or SAG membership required!
MEA CULPA
I must confess to nepotism. SuperAriMan (Be yourself, April 22, 2010) was handpicked to guest. But before you cry foul, I’ve made the selection based on the first person to subscribe and he was it. Being my son had nothing to do with it. Seriously. Oh, yea, and I used my mother’s ghost in A Mother’s Work is Never Done, May 9, 2010. And my Dad in Father Knows Best, June 20. Who the heck else would you have me use on Father’s Day?
For the sake of complete transparency let me say that there were a few professional guest appearances: a dog (Pet Peeve, April 14, 2010), a baboon (Going Ape, April 13, 2010), and a camel that appeared together with a swimsuit model (minus the swimsuit) in Wednesday. Hump Day, April 7, 2010.
Also, in Party with my Girl, May 24, 2010, I was having tea with Queen Victoria. Other pros were called upon against their will (I am Where I Am, May 6, 2010 and Modify, Simplify, Clarify, May 14, 2010) and the lawyers are dealing with those situations.
Don’t be fooled by Why Thursday, April 8, 2010 and Pass the Salsa, May 5, 2010. Both strips actually featured me in costume.
You can check out the list of legitimate guest characters below.
If you like please let others know about Thinkering, post it on your blogroll or FB wall or whatever.
Let’s share the fun!
