Dear sir, you have neglected to mention that it (meaning shopping trollies that is) play an important part in the informal economy, as well as informal housing, and forms part of the daily caravans one sees in our urban landscape, well, at least in cape town! i do not have the picture unfortunately but i have seen published in out local paper an image of half a car on a trolley makings its laborious way to a scrap yard in the townships!

    So right.
The carts play just as important a role in north America.
Due to lack of space I had to limit this post to only a single incident with which I’m personally experienced.
Perhaps in future more will follow. Or not.
