What’s Thinkering About

As part of my early morning routine (study, exercise, coffee) I spend one hour  “Thinkering”.

As a thought pops into my head I tinker with it, creating a daily comic strip. It’s both my journal and sketchbook.

The writing and drawing hone my creative skills. Obviously. The time constrain exercises my analytical skills, forcing discipline.  It’s a great way for me to mesh both sides of my brain into working in concert.

Sometime the results are funny or clever— other times they’re not.

If you wish, I’d be happy to email it to you each morning. If you like— pass it on!

Very interesting blog! I like the idea of the cartoonist being the character. I cartoon as well, but my drawing skills are not as good as yours ( http://www.PastExpiry.com )

I like your work – funny! I’m considering an occasional “guest appearance” from fellow cartoonists, inserting a character or dialogue into Thinkering. If you wouldn’t mind subscribing I’ll keep you posted. I’ll follow your work as well.

I love the concept of a daily cartoon in under an hour. Have you ever done a 24 hour comic? If not you should try it.
I prefer to subscribe by RSS– does that also enter me (or my characters, see http://www.introvertcomic.com ) in the running for a guest appearance? I hope so, if not no worries.

Absolutely, Neal! RSS is fine and I’ll be visiting.

I’d love to have one of your characters come visit with me in Thinkering. Let me know which one. If you have any ideas let me know, otherwise I’ll do what I usually do, as the muse strikes me.

I stumbled upon this from the “Freshly Pressed” section on WordPress. I like what I’ve read so far and in particular your style of illustrating. Really cool.
